A great stay at Saddlers

The whole place was spotlessly clean, our room was very comfortable with a great bed and we slept very well. Milly is a wonderful hostess who goes the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We loved the freshly baked home made cookies in our room on our arrival and the selection of teas, coffee, drinking chocolate and fresh milk in a mini fridge. The breakfast was amazing with a wide choice of hot and cold foods, freshly prepared by Milly. The snug room is also a lovely room to sit in and relax with a drink.

The best B&B we've ever stayed in!

My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's over the years but Saddlers has to be the best by far. Nothing was too much trouble for Milly who, with her in depth knowledge of the area, gave us some wonderful ideas of where to go and what to do. It is obvious that Milly loves owning a B&B and welcoming people to stay. Her breakfasts are amazing, cooked to order and served with a smile. This is a perfect place to stay. It is beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Thank you Milly for looking after us so well! We can't wait to come back.

Great House, even better host!

Milly was an awesome host at such a great house in the English Countryside. Enjoyed every minute of it. The house was great, plenty of space. Milly also made an great breakfast with a ton of fun English food. We will definitely stay there again

Wonderful stay!

We stayed for 2 nights at Saddlers. Proprietor Milly is an absolute gem. Nothing too much trouble. The rooms are lovely. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Breakfast was fabulous. All freshly made with local ingredients (some from the garden) and even the yogurt was homemade! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Saddlers to anyone.

Amazing stay

From the moment we arrived we were given a warm welcome. The attention to detail that Milly provides is awesome. The log fire lit in the snug, freshly baked biscuits, lovely airy room. The breakfast is just delicious and very filling. Again, little details like the fresh butter, jams and marmalades with toast. Also, I’m lactose intolerant so soy milk on hand for me. This is a stay you won’t forget as it’s luxurious and a very relaxing atmosphere.

This a gem!

This gem is the creation of Milly Boxley, and a stay here will show her true heart and soul energy put into making you feel very special! Everything is spotless, all details are taken care of, and breakfasts are gourmet quality. We had such a great time at the table with other couples it felt like family. The rooms are cozy and quiet and baths are modern and clean. It’s a great location for exploring the area with several good pubs nearby. Highly recommend staying here-one of the very best we have stayed at in several trips to England!!

A Gem

Staying at The Saddlers was an absolute delight. We booked direct, following a local recommendation and Milly was welcoming from the start, offering to help with our evening meal booking and any other information we needed. The card and Florentines were a lovely surprise, thank you! The rooms are well equipped, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We relaxed and enjoyed a hearty breakfast with locally sourced ingredients including rhubarb compote from the garden. Highly recommend.

BEST B&B WE HAVE STAYED IN

From the welcome with coffee and cake to the saying of goodbyes this stay felt like we had been with friends or family. The room was cosy and smelt wonderful. We also had the use of the Snug for reading, tv and relaxing. The bed was so warm and comfortable and the shower was wonderful. Choice and quality of breakfast was excellent. A brilliant stay made even special by hosts Tim and Milly, thank you both. Best BnB experience for us both and we will be back soon.

Perfection

Truly outstanding two night stay (couple in early 30s). Milly, a wonderful character and host alike, couldn’t do enough for us. Bed enormously comfortable, bathroom/toiletries on point, lovely little touches (‘pick-me-up’ pack given the area is renowned for its vineyards, welcome Easter egg given the timing of our stay, ‘emergency’ rosé provided given our fortune with the weather) and breakfast of paramount quality, with homemade compotes and several of the spreads locally and sustainably sourced. Cooked options (‘Veggie Monty’ being our personal favourite) were divine. Location is quaint and peaceful, and just up from the Ashling Park Estate vineyard, which has a lovely restaurant if wishing to dine alongside trying their award-winning sparkling wine (and gin). Brilliantly picturesque walks in the vicinity, including Kingsley Vale and its old yew tree trail, which is a must-do. Somewhere we’d be delighted to return to. Perfection.

Absolutely Fabulous!

This place, in many years of spending time staying at B&B’s, is the very best. It is spotless; very comfy bed, beautiful room and THE best breakfast but on top of this, Milly is such a likeable woman and she really cares about the people who stay with her. We will certainly be returning.
