Christmas Wreath Workshop & Stay

From 14th November - 14th December, join us at Saddlers for a festive treat that combines creativity, comfort, and a touch of indulgence. Our Christmas Wreath Workshop is a chance to design and make your own seasonal wreath using fresh greenery, berries, and ribbons, guided by an expert florist. Along the way, enjoy mulled wine and homemade mince pies.

To make it even more magical, we’ve created our Wreath & Stay Package — spend the evening crafting your wreath, then settle in for a late night hot chocolate by the fire. Wake to a freshly prepared Saddlers breakfast the next morning and head home full of festive spirit with your handmade wreath.

What’s On & Where to Wander This Autumn

Autumn in Chichester and West Sussex is all about golden light, bracing walks, and cosy evenings, and there’s plenty happening locally to make your stay at Saddlers even more memorable.

✨ Events & Happenings

Chichester Cathedral is celebrating its 950th anniversary. On 4th October enjoy The Sixteen’s Choral Pilgrimage: Angel of Peace, and from 24th–31st October the Cathedral will be lit up with the Chichester950 Light Experience — a dazzling sound and light show inside this historic space.
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra visits the Cathedral on 22nd October, with Colour and Light — an evening of Elgar, Sibelius, and Respighi.
Pallant House Gallery is showing Seeing Each Other: Portraits of Artists until *2nd November, a major exhibition of more than 130 works.
The Weald & Downland Living Museum has a seasonal programme of events, from autumn crafts and exhibitions to its Christmas Market on 22nd - 23rd November, complete with festive stalls and mulled wine.

Kingley Vale: Wander through ancient yew forests glowing in autumn light, with sweeping views of the South Downs.
Halnaker Windmill: Stroll up the famous tree tunnel along the old Roman road, framed in gold and russet leaves, before reaching the historic windmill.
Arun Valley & Arundel: A riverside trail rich with wildlife, big skies, and the chance to finish with a cosy pub lunch.
